The significance of Pitru Paksha
Pitru Paksha is a holy two-week period in Hinduism that is devoted to paying respect to our ancestors, or pitrs. It is believed that ancestral souls come to Earth during that period to bless their children and grandchildren. In along with bringing peace to these departed souls, performing Shraddha and Pind Daan rituals cleanses our lives for obstacles and negative karmic influences.
This is more than just a tradition for many families; it's an act of gratitude, love, and respect.
We at KTDMC Travels are cognizant of Pitru Paksha's significant spiritual and emotional significance. so that you to concentrate entirely on the sacred experience, we have put collectively comprehensive packages that include educated pandits, real Vedic rituals, and hassle-free travel arrangements.
Our Unique Rituals for Pitru Paksha in 2025
We offer three primary rituals, each with a separate spiritual feature:
1. Tripindi Shradha at Varanasi's Dashashwamedh Ghat
• Objective: Tripindi Shradha is performed to set free souls detained by unmet desires or incomplete practices. Until the right rites happen, these spirits could interfere with the lives of their descendants.
• Significance: By performing this Shradha, the family achieves peace and blessings as the soul is freed from earthly attachments.
• Location: Dashashwamedh Ghat, Varanasi's center, renowned for the evening Ganga Aarti and its heavenly energy.
Our pandits ensure that the ritual is performed authentically by adhering to exact Vedic mantras.
2. Assi Ghat, Varanasi's Narayan Bali Shradh
• Purpose: This ritual is carried out for the souls of those who died suddenly or in an unnatural way—from snake bites, drowning, accidents, or other similar causes.
• Significance: Transitioning to the next realm can be challenging for these souls. According to the Garuda Purana, Narayan Bali assists in releasing these souls from slavery and bestows upon them emancipation (moksha).
• Location: Assi Ghat, a potent spiritual location perfect for purification ceremonies where the Assi River meets the Ganga.
This ritual, when carried out strictly according to the scriptures, is thought to be very successful in eliminating ancestral doshas.
3. Gaya Pilgrimage with Narayan Bali (Varanasi + Gaya Combo)
• Goal: By fusing Pind Daan at Gaya with Narayan Bali in Varanasi, this is the most comprehensive ancestral ceremony.
• Significance: Gaya is regarded as the ideal location for Pind Daan. It is believed that 88 generations of ancestors can be released from the cycle of rebirth by offering pind here.
Places We Served:
